Hims PEJ Spray Review: How it Works, and What to Expect
Him’s PEJ Spray is a premature ejaculation spray developed by the company Hims. So what’s up with Hims anyway and why am I writing this Hims PEJ Spray review?
Well, Hims is a new company offering products and services for men’s health. Their founding story is pretty cool. Andrew Dudum’s sister was concerned about him not taking care of his health. He got so committed to it, he founded Hims and became CEO of his startup company in 2016. Way to go sis.
Hims may be a newcomer, but it’s already making big waves in the sexual health market. It’s completely dedicated to men’s needs as a one-stop shop online doctor’s visit and pharmacy.
You can even fill generic versions of Zoloft and Viagra, all completely legit. They also sell over-the-counter medicines and sexual products for discreet online delivery to your door.
In theory, you could sign up as a patient and talk to a licensed doctor, order your prescription meds, and do some online shopping without getting up out of your living room chair. Sounds like a good deal to me.
Along with the myriad of medicines and products available through Hims, they have developed a delay spray that’s called by the simple name PEJ Spray.
Here’s my story shopping with Hims and what I think about their topical spray PEJ – Premature Ejaculation Spray. This spray works by altering the sensitivity to the sprayed area without overly numbing. It’s effective for most men, helping men last around 64% longer during sex. Lidocaine is a very common local anesthetic and generally quite safe
Here’s the Skinny on of my Hims PEJ Spray Review
PEJ Spray may be a newer product, but it definitely means business. The spray behaves a lot like Promescent does, which attracted me to try it.
Like Promescent, PEJ Spray’s active ingredient is lidocaine, an effective ingredient for premature ejaculation that’s been around for a long time.
I’m personally a fan of it.
Hims PEJ: Premature Ejaculation Spray
They claim on their website that men will last longer in bed when they use it and it’s backed by a study. That’s good to know.
Anyway, enough of my rambling. I’ll get back on point. I placed my order through the Hims site. Shopping it out seemed easy enough.
I was tempted to try the tele-doctor on call service for kicks, but I stuck with my mission. At this point I just ordered the PEJ for now so I could give it a fair review.
In the near future I would like to go back to the website again to check out their other offerings, though. Maybe I’ll review that, too.
We’ll see.
I was happy to see the package arrive at my door – no frills, no fuss, no weird looks from my neighbors. Just as it should be. The package came three days later than I would have liked, though.
Guess I’m a bit spoiled with Promescent’s super speedy shipping.
My First Thoughts and Review of Hims PEJ Spray
Once the weekend arrived, I knew it was show time. Don’t worry, I told Andrea what I was doing.
She wasn’t too thrilled learning it was PEJ Spray for some reason, but she got over it pretty quickly when she realized the active ingredient was lidocaine. I knew that we will both enjoy sex by trying new things. I did spray to the most sensitive areas of your penis 5-10 minutes before game time. And waited for desired effects. I was pretty happy with how fast the solution dried.
I sprayed it on as usual, and off we went. Spray to the most sensitive areas of your penis 5-10 minutes before game time.
With that being said, not all was well and good as I had planned.
Premature Ejaculation: Mixed Hims PEJ Spray Reviews
I read other online reviews afterwards, wondering what went wrong toward the end when we climaxed. It turns out I wasn’t that far off with the directions – at least I waited for the stuff to dry.
But with PEJ Spray, wearing a condom is recommended even if the solution is completely dry, because there’s still the risk of numbing your partner.
What gives! I work long hours, you know.
Even with working from home it’s still a challenge, and even more so these days, with everyone adjusting to new technology and all.
When Andrea and I are ready to relish in some fun, we don’t want to think about having to stick on a condom every time things get steamy.
We’re both tired and just want to ease into it. Talk about killing the mood, right? Fortunately, no long-term effects have been reported on women with the numbness transfer of PEJ Spray.
After some discussions, we decided to try PEJ again the following evening. The results were much better now that we knew what we were getting ourselves, and I actually paid attention to the instructions.
What are Hims PEJ Spray’s Pros and Cons?
Overall, Hims Spray is a very good runner-up to Promescent. Here’s what I found.
Pros:
- Cheaper than Promescent per bottle.
- Good company telehealth services.
- Convenient if you have premature ejaculation.
Cons:
- May have to wear a condom to prevent sexual transfer.
- Longer shipping times than other brands.
- Pricier than other options in the long run.
New School Versus Old School: How Promescent Compares to PEJ Spray
How does Promescent do compared to Hims Spray? Well, it still reigns supreme in my book. I simply prefer its formula better. Promescent was developed by the famous urologist Ronald Gilbert MD. He figured out how to convert lidocaine from a crystalline to an oil aqueous compound and believe me that makes a difference.
This formula is the main reason why I don’t have to worry about transferring it to Andrea.
But more importantly, it shows that Promescent works. It’s predictable, and reliable – just how I like it to be.
Another thing I noticed about Promescent – it’s actually cheaper than PEJ Spray when you buy it in bulk. I honestly wasn’t expecting that, but hey, all the more reason to brag about my favorite product.
You can make it last even longer if you use just one spray per session, which some men can do depending on their sensitivity.
Yes guys, one spray really is that effective.
That’s the dose I typically use, and it’s just right – it takes the edge off, but not too much It’s a good balance for me.
Why Promescent Delay Spray is My Favorite
Promescent recommends to not use more than 10 sprays per session, though I never had to use that much. In my opinion, if you feel compelled to spray it that many times then you probably should go see a doctor.
I still stand by Promescent’s discreet, fast and easy shipping. It’s very dependable, and as you saw from my experience with Hims, Promescent’s is also a bit faster. Speed is a huge perk for me.
The faster I can get it through my front door the better.
By the way, a tip on buying PE sprays online: I always buy the product directly from the manufacturer when I can.
That’s how I know whether their shipping is good or not. It’s easier to keep track of than through online retail sites like Walmart.com.
Promescent Pros and Cons
Promescent and Hims Spray are both very good products, with a few differences. Here’s how Promescent stacks up.
Pros:
- It’s cheaper than Hims PEJ Spray by the bulk.
- Does everything Hims PEJ does, and better.
- You don’t have to fuss with condoms or doo-dads.
- Doesn’t transfer to your partner.
Cons:
- Um…no personalized online sex doctors?
- A little pricier bottle for bottle…but really, who’s complaining?
- You may have to wait a bit longer for it to dry.
The King of Delay Sprays
Though PEJ Spray by Hims is a formidable contestant, I would have to crown Promescent the winner.
Promescent is less expensive in bulk, making it a great deal for those who want to save money in the long run. Now excuse me as I go find a doctor on the Hims website.
I’m curious to see how they can help me learn a couple new tricks for my sex life.
